The Pop-Culture Influence of Marketing and Public Relations in the Global Entertainment and Media Industry
The entertainment and media industry is a driving force in popular culture. I am particularly passionate about how marketing and public relations contribute to this industry’s immense social impact and ability to foster relationships and communities. Throughout my time in the Organizational Studies program, I look forward to pursuing an interdisciplinary, multifaceted exploration of global entertainment and media organizations and their impact on popular culture through marketing and public relations. Specifically, I anticipate studying the ways in which film, television, and media are marketed to diverse audiences through a variety of strategic marketing campaigns and how public relations initiatives cultivate the relationship between entertainment and media organizations and pop-culture society. Ultimately, my pathway in the OS program will prepare me to pursue a career in marketing or public relations for a globally recognized entertainment and media organization, in which I’d seek professional development and meaningful relationships through a common passion for film, television, and media.
