PATHWAY
Education with a focus on Positive Organizational Practices and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Although my current pathway is very much in the works, I am interested in how history has affected social, political, and economic inequalities in the modern United States. I have always been fascinated by U.S. history because it so clearly reflects how our current social functions. As a person who hopes to one day make positive change in the many flaws in American institutions, I believe an education sector is a place where I could lay the groundwork for a more equitable future. As cheesy as it may sound, children are the future politicians, businesspeople, and artists who will be forming future society and culture. As a person who has grown up in a very progressive household, went to experimental schools, and loves working with children, I am passionate about students having access to high-quality, comprehensive education, no matter what background they come from. My love for history has informed me of how inequalities have persisted since the conception of this country. At the center of these inequalities in education. Education has the power to spark a seed of passion in a student's mind, allowing the freedom of exploration and a realization of individual power and ability.
