About
Margerie Snider is a Master of Science student in the School of Environment and Sustainability at the University of Michigan. Her areas of interest focus on environmental policy and environmental justice, and she is working toward pursuing a career in the non-profit sector. She is particularly interested in sustainability policy and initiatives. Currently, Margerie is working with the City of Detroit’s Office of Sustainability to implement solar energy across the city. This past summer, Margerie interned with the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) and assisted with the launch of EDF’s Climate Vulnerability Index.
Prior to graduate school, Margerie worked for the Department of Justice in Washington, DC for three years as a Management and Program Analyst, where she worked primarily as a data expert. Additionally, Margerie led her division’s summer internship program and Active Shooter Training initiative.
In her free time, Margerie enjoys cooking and running. She is an avid Michigan men’s and women’s basketball and football fan.
