We are excited to announce that Professor Martin Williams will be joining our Organizational Studies faculty in the fall of 2024. An accomplished political scientist and tenured professor from Oxford University's Blavatnik School of Government, Professor Williams specializes in organizational performance, particularly in public sector organizations in low- and middle-income countries. His influential research has been published in top-tier journals, including the American Political Science Review and the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory.
Williams' addition to the faculty will introduce new course offerings to the program and provide more opportunities for student involvement in research. OS students can benefit from his rich experience in the field of organizational performance and reform.
We’re also looking forward to the release of Professor Williams' upcoming book, "Reform as Process: Implementing Change in Public Bureaucracies," under contract with Columbia University Press and due out in early 2025. This comprehensive study examines multiple instances of public sector reform in African countries and offers insights for systemic improvement.
