Overview and Introduction
Established in 2022, the Clarke DS Fellowship is a two-year graduate fellowship program designed for individuals who want to pursue a master’s degree and a career as a Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) Special Agent in the Foreign Service.
Through the Clarke DS Fellowship, recipients will embark on a career path that takes them around the world while providing protection to US personnel, facilities, and information while supporting diplomacy. Upon successful completion of the program and the State Department’s requirements, recipients will agree to a three-year commitment with the Foreign Service as a DSS Special Agent.

Eligibility:
- Degree Level: Be planning to begin a two-year full-time master’s degree program at a U.S.-based accredited institution. (between ages of 19 and 32)
- Academics: 3.2 or above GPA required
- Citizenship: US citizenship required
Selection Criteria:
- Interest in a Foreign Service career with the US Department of State
- Strong academic background
- Culturally aware
- Adaptability
