About
Angie is a 1.5 generation Korean immigrant PhD student pursuing higher education. In her research, Angie engages with critical organizational studies to examine institutional DEI initiatives through the lens of neoliberalism and racial capitalism to move higher education toward justice. Prior to U-M, Angie worked in Residential Life and was a student affairs professional at New York University Silver School of Social Work overseeing student life, student transition, and social justice initiatives.
At NCID, Angie is a research associate for This is My Story — Staff of Color Experiences at the University of Michigan project and for the Transforming Higher Education: Building Leadership Capacity for Staff and Faculty digital project.
