About
Raúl is a Ph.D. candidate in higher education at the Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education, University of Michigan. Raúl’s research focuses on understanding organizational behavior and organizational change in higher education, mainly related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. He earned an MA in higher education administration at the University of Michigan and a BA in theatre arts and translation and interpretation studies from California State University, Long Beach. Before coming to the University of Michigan, Raúl worked with migrant and immigrant youth in North Carolina using theatre and arts for leadership development and coordinated a statewide coalition that advocated for increased college access for undocumented students.
At NCID, Raúl is a research associate for the Transforming Higher Education: Building Leadership Capacity for Staff and Faculty digital project, where he supports the research project on CDOs.
