About
Jeff is an assistant professor of higher education at George Mason University in Northern Virginia. His research focuses on how organizational structures, policies, and practices shape the experiences and outcomes for systematically marginalized faculty, staff, and students in higher education. His latest research projects are examining how chief diversity officers are navigating the political landscape in anti-DEI states and faculty of color leader identity construction. Prior to his doctoral work, Jeff worked at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and Washington University in St. Louis.
At NCID, Jeff is the director of research and assessment for the Bill & Melinda Gates Grant that focuses on empowering change agent to create equity-minded change in all levels of higher education organizations.
