PhD Program: Applied Arabic Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition
Ahmed has been interested in the fields of Applied linguistics and Second Language Acquisition ever since he started his B.A. in Simultaneous Interpretation at Al Azhar University in Cairo. In the year of 2015-2016, Ahmed worked as an Arabic Teaching Assistant at the College of the Holy Cross. In 2020, Ahmed got a Master's degree in Teaching Arabic as a Foriegn Language from the department of Middle East Studies at the University of Michigan. He also has experience in teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language at the University of Michigan and the Concordia Language Villages.
Ahmed is a current Ph.D. student at the department of Middle East Studies at the University of Michigan, and he is focusing on specific areas in the fields of Arabic Applied Linguistics and Arabic Second Language Acquisition. He has a keen interest in the areas of Arabic heritage learners and Arabic second language learners.
