Professor Anna Gilbert has been selected to receive the 2013 Ralph E. Kleinman Prize from the Society of Applied and Interdisciplinary Mathematics.  The Ralph E. Kleinman Prize, established in 1999, is awarded to one individual for outstanding research, or other contributions, that bridge the gap between mathematics and applications.  The citation recognizes Gilbert's creative and deep contributions to the mathematics of signal processing, data analysis and communications. "Her bold and interdisciplinary work combines techniques from computer science, harmonic analysis, and probability in the best traditions of the Kleinman Prize."
