About
So Jung “SJ” Shin is a third-year student double majoring in Social Theory and Practice & Arts and Ideas in the Humanities. These interdisciplinary fields of study allow SJ to explore community engagement, research, and art with identity functioning as a mediator between the three. Through their work at the Institute, SJ hopes to bring together what they’ve learned in classroom settings, volunteering, and student organizations to promote the humanities and the arts as a point for social change. Outside of work or school, you can find them getting a nice cup of coffee and editing poetry, essays, and brainstorming themes for a new magazine edition.
