About
Leah Haw is a third-year student double majoring in English and Political Science. At the intersection of these two degrees is her interest in studying the use of persuasive speech and rhetoric in public communications among political figures and partisans. Leah currently works as a Research Assistant in the Department of Political Science researching the relationship between regime changes and episodes of repression in contentious politics. Through the Institute for the Humanities, she hopes to learn creative techniques for spreading information and see the different paths that humanities-based social research can take. In her free time, Leah enjoys reading and watching movies directed by Tim Burton and Wes Anderson. You can usually find her studying in Ross with friends or enjoying an impromptu outdoor picnic somewhere around central campus.
