Debbie Field has a PhD from the University of Michigan. She was a professor at Adrian College for 21 years, where she chaired the history department, helped to found and direct the program in women's and gender studies, and created and taught many, many classes. She’s the author of the monograph Private Life and Communist Morality in Khrushchev's Russia and the co-author of the textbook Russia's Long Twentieth Century.
