Bio: Hello! My name is Axel, and I’m a junior studying Chemical Engineering and German. I began learning German in high school and continued taking classes in college. At the University of Michigan, I’ve been a member of the Max Kade House for the past two years, where I help plan events such as Kaffeestunde, Filmabend, Deutschtisch, and more. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, snowboarding, traveling, and spending time with friends.
I’ve had the opportunity to study with the Goethe Institut in both Dresden and Freiburg. I also participated in the DAAD RISE program as an intern in Leipzig and studied at the German Language School at Middlebury College. This coming year, I plan to continue living in the Max Kade House and will be an assistant teacher at the Deutsche Schule Ann Arbor.
I’m happy to help with any questions, especially about dual majoring between the College of Engineering and LSA, applying for the DAAD RISE program, life in the Max Kade House, studying abroad with the Goethe Institut, and attending the German Language School at Middlebury. Ich freue mich auf unser Gespräch!
