About
Kehinde joined the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures in 2024. She received her MA in German Studies in the department of Modern Languages and Linguistics, Florida State University in May 2024, where she was awarded the “Outstanding Graduate student by the German Program”. She was also a recipient of the Ada Belle Winthrop-King Endowed Scholarship Fund in FSU Modern Languages Department. In 2021, she obtained her bachelor’s degree from the department of European Studies with a focus in German Studies from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 2021. A recipient of the „Stipendium zur Aus- und Fortbildung in Deutschland“ a DAAD-Hochschulsommerkurse in Deutschland für ausländische Studierende und Graduierte, 2024. She is also a recipient of the “2024 Goethe Institute Sommerakademie Globales Lehren und Lernen for teachers of German in USA”.
She is an adventurous scholar whose lived experiences in three counties (Nigeria, U.S.A and Germany) and community engagement drives much of her research interests. Her interests span the modernisms of German African Migration and Diasporic studies, Minority studies, Cultural Memory and Integration, German-Jewish Post-war collective memory and narrative elements.
