The University of Michigan Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures and the University Career Center are pleased to invite participation in German Career Day.

German Career Day will take place on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 3pm to 6pm. At this event organizations that are based in Germany or have close relationships with the German American Business Community can meet with highly motivated students, who are interested in internships and employment opportunities.

"This is an excellent occasion to get to know our stellar German students" says Maria Measel, event coordinator. "We are communicating to our young professionals that intercultural proficiency and language skills are valued by organizations operating in global markets. The event further represents a valuable recruitment tool for participating companies and an avenue for meeting their business interests."

German Career Day is part of a broader International Opportunities Fair, which is sponsored by The University Career Center and numerous campus divisions. Both events will be promoted to and attract outstanding students from diverse programs and schools.

Companies can register for our event by clicking on this link:  International Opportunities Fair.  In the “Booth” section, select "German Career Day Organization." Thanks to the generosity of the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures, we are delighted to waive the $150 fee for participating companies.

Questions about German Career Day can be directed to Maria Measel (measelm@umich.edu) (734) 646-2437.  For questions about the registration process, please contact Sally Schueneman (sallys@umich.edu) at the University Career Center (734) 764-7460.

We are eager to assist companies with German affiliations in attracting the University of Michigan's exceptional students as potential employees.
