Mawazo Silomba, born and raised in Tanzania, is a dedicated English and geography teacher with over seven years of experience in the classroom. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in education from the University of Dar es Salaam (Class of 2017) and has since built a strong record of student success.
Since 2017, his students have consistently achieved some of the best English language results in the nation. He has also guided them to three medals in public speaking and a certificate of participation at the East African Schools Debating Competition in 2023. Fluent in both Kiswahili and English, Mawazo is recognized for his excellent communication skills, inclusive teaching style, and ability to connect with students of all ages and abilities. His leadership and classroom management skills further enhance his impact as an educator.
Mawazo is deeply passionate about inspiring the next generation to grow into confident, courageous individuals who can create positive change in the world. Outside of teaching, his interests include guidance and counseling, research, swimming, physical fitness, and enjoying films and television.
