Requirements
At least 32 credits at the 200-level and above, distributed as follows:
A. Anthropology: A minimum of five courses, with at least one course from each of the four groups below. Two courses must be at the 400-level or above. Courses listed in more than one group below cannot be counted twice:*
1. Paleoanthropology and Morphology

2. Ecology and Behavior

C. Remaining Credits: These may be selected from other biological anthropology or biology courses within the major or from relevant courses in other departments approved by the program advisors.
Distribution Policy: No course used to fulfill a major requirement may be used toward the LSA Distribution Requirement. In addition, any courses in the ANTHRBIO subject area may not be used toward the Distribution Requirement. However, Human Origins, Biology, and Behavior majors may use the introductory Biology prerequisite courses toward the LSA Distrubution.
Exclusions: Students who elect a major in Human Origins, Biology, and Behavior may not elect a major in Biology, Health, and Society.
Residency: At least 20 credits must be completed in residence at the University of Michigan.
