Curious about the RC student experience?
Interested in finding out a bit more about what life is like as a Residential College student? Find out more from the experiences of our RC Admissions Assistants and our RC Ambassadors! RC Admissions Assistants (RC AAs) are an essential part of the RC Admissions Team and may be in touch with you while you explore the RC's options. RC Ambassadors and RC AAs will be on hand during RC Campus Days to give their unique perspectives as current RC-ers.
If you are interested in reaching out to an RC Admissions Assistant and/or an RC Ambassador with questions, reach out to rcadmissions@umich.edu.
Hi Friends! I’m Ayo Fadase. I'm from Nigeria by way of Texas. I'm a sophomore in the Residential College, planning on majoring in Economics and Potentially Minoring in Public Policy. I lived in East Quad as a freshman, I met all my close friends now in the dorm and I loved it!
This is my second year in the Admissions office and also worked as a peer advisor of the summer and I loved it! I love getting involved in any way I can and helping plan and organize events. My RC language was French in my first semester, which I enjoyed, but I tested highly in Yoruba and I'm currently a FLAS fellow doing a Advanced Yoruba Independent Study.
I had “Living and Telling” as my First year writing seminar which was amazing I would highly recommend :) Outside of the RC and Academics, I am a part of the African Student Association (ASA), on the Eboard of a Pre-Professional organization and plan on joining the MFencing club. I hope to meet y'all and tell you all about why I not only love the University of Michigan but also the RC!
Hello and welcome! I’m Qiying Feng (she/her). I am a freshman in the RC, planning to triple major in sociology, psychology, and creative writing. I’m taking 2 RC courses this semester, and both of them are amazing! RC has some of the most supportive faculty and staff on campus, so don’t be afraid to reach out if you have any questions!
In my free time, I will work on digital drawing and watching anime. Besides that, I am also a support group leader at CPSA and an outreach producer at the cinnamon cinema. This is my first time working in the RC Admission Office, and I’m looking forward to connecting with everyone who is interested!
Hi everyone! My name is PinYi Lee (she/they) and this is my third year working in the Admissions Office. I am a senior in the RC with a Cognitive Science major and International Studies minor. I took Spanish in the RC through the Intensive Program and I am leading a Coffee Hour this semester, so I would love to answer any questions about the language program that you might have!
Outside of the RC, I’m a board member of the Taiwanese American Student Association (TASA), a member of Groove (a comedic non-traditional percussion and performance group), and a barista. I would love to shed some light on all that the RC has to offer so please don’t hesitate to ask any questions :)
Hey everyone, I’m Jack Thompson (he/him). I’m a junior in the Residential College. I’m majoring in Computer Science and Cognitive Science and minoring in Entrepreneurship and Japanese (which was my RC language).
In my free time, I play sax for the Blue Bop Jazz Orchestra and bass guitar for a couple of other music groups. I’ll also plan on participating in Michigan Club Swimming and optiMize this semester.
This will be my third year working in the RC Admissions Office, and I’m very excited to meet everyone!
Hi everyone! My name is Elizabeth Wolfe (she/her) and I'm a senior in the RC studying Creative Writing with a Minor in Entrepreneurship. My RC language was Spanish and I've also participated in the RC's music program and the Prison Creative Arts Project.
This is my third year working in the Admissions Office. I love connecting with prospective students and helping them find their place here at UM and in the RC! Outside of the RC, I'm Co-Head of Layout for What The F Magazine and a columnist for Michigan Daily's The Statement. I can't wait to get to know you and help you begin your college journey!
