What are some highlights of your career - or side projects - that you’re most proud of?
Building upon the foundation of a successful 25 year career in financial services, I launched my own leadership development consultancy, KMW Catalyst, in 2017. As a result of this entrepreneurial venture, I am honored to serve as one of the career coaches for the University of Michigan Alumni Association. In this capacity, I am able to support our outstanding alumni body more directly with my expertise. I have been blessed to have been presented with many great opportunities and as a result, my thought leadership has been published in Forbes, CEO World, Thrive Global, Addicted 2 Success, Medium, The Good Men Project, and LinkedIn.
What are you doing lately that you’re passionate about?
I am the Founder/Chief Vision & Strategy Officer of KMW Catalyst, a leadership development consultancy focusing on transforming the business experience into the human experience through entrepreneurial culture, employee experience, vision, and strategy. KMW Catalyst offers training, workshops, keynotes, executive roundtables, mastermind groups, and one-on-one as well as group/team coaching. I am also the Founder/Chief Orator of Spiryt In Motion, an oratory company determined to dismantle the oppression of limiting beliefs one talk at a time.
What about it makes you so passionate? What is the underlying reason or cause you’re doing what you’re doing?
I am an entrepreneurial mindset evangelist, leadership development strategist, fire-starter and lover of laughter. I help unselfishly ambitious humans adopt an innovative, ownership mindset to excavate, elevate and execute their power personally and professionally. It is through my consultancy that I am able to tap into my superpower of seeing greatness in others and helping clients to excavate that greatness within. I love what I do!

How does something you did in the RC relate to this?
Having been born and raised in Ann Arbor, I always felt that the RC is so quintessentially A2. Now having been gone from A2 for over 20 years, I know this to be true. I have come to appreciate the value of my RC education more and more with time, experience and perspective as an integration with my upbringing into formative adult years at Michigan.
More than anything, my time in the RC taught me to think differently. There is no singular way to bring a vision to fruition. The beauty is in the journey that is unique to each of us. I learned a lot through the RC and the seeds planted over 25 years ago are still bearing fruit today.
If you could have dinner with anyone, fictional or real, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
I have two answers. The first dinner would be with my parents who passed away in my 20s. I think we could have a really good catch up! The second dinner would be with Michelle Obama and Rihanna because...they're boss!
What’s your favorite food to make, and why?
During the holidays is really the only time of year that cook in volume and that is when I make my mom's signature rock cornish hen and cornbread and sausage stuffing. On more regular days, I like to make smoked salmon eggs benedict. Yum!
