This summer, the U-M Museum of Paleontology is hosting interns participating in the iDigBio Natural History Collections Summer Internship. Designed to help non-traditional students engage with natural history collections, this 8-week program expects students 'help with the digitization, curation, and research efforts in their lab, with options to complete their own research project,' according to the iDigBio website.

Joining the UMMP Collections this summer are Jackson Eccles and Sydney Orman (pictured above, left to right). Jackson's career interests are in the field of paleontology. Coming all the way from Wyoming, this is Jackson's first time in the state of Michigan. Sydney comes from Canton, MI and is a Geology student currently studying at Eastern Michigan University.

One of only four partnering institutions, the Unversity of Michigan is hosting the most interns from the iDigBio Natural History Collections Summer Internship. A total of four students are working in U-M labs across the Ann Arbor campus.
