Without the International Studies advising staff, Alexandra Lubczuk doubts she would have gotten as much out of her time at the University of Michigan.
“I’ve gone to the advisors multiple times every semester with questions about studying abroad or if I was on track and … every time I talked to them, they would be very reassuring and say they could hear my passion in whatever I was talking about and that I’m going to succeed. Now I have multiple paths I can see myself pursuing thanks to their advice,” Lubczuk said.
In an effort to explore as many educational pathways as she could, Lubczuk studied abroad in Morocco for a semester and has been abroad every summer of college. She said this process would not have been as easy without the flexibility of an International Studies degree.
“Encouraging PICS students to take the opportunity to study abroad is really important for impacting one’s perspective and is something I’m glad the Program in International and Comparative Studies emphasizes,” Lubczuk said.
Lubczuk will be completing a Master of Management through the Ross School of Business after graduation.
