We are also delighted to share that this past year Dr. Stonington's book, The Spirit Ambulance, won three book prizes: Winner of the 2021 New Millennium Book Award (Society for Medical Anthropology); Honorable Mention for the 2021 Edie Turner First Book Prize in Ethnographic Writing (Society for Humanistic Anthropology); and Honorable Mention for the 2021 Sharon Stephens Book Prize (American Ethnological Society).
