On April 22, 2021, Lebanon-based journalist Alia Ibrahim presented her experience reporting on a wide variety of issues across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Fareed Mostoufi, associate director of education for the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, also led an interactive session that raised awareness for underreported global issues. These presentations were the fourth in the series collaboration between the Duke–UNC Consortium for Middle East Studies and the Center for Middle Eastern & North African Studies at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, both National Resource Centers funded by the US Department of Education.
