How has your U-M Cognitive Science degree influenced your career path?
Cognitive Science was my first introduction to psychological research. I found my first research opportunity through my CogSci 200 GSI and have been a part of several different research teams over the course of my education. The major allowed me to take classes in a variety of different disciplines and bettered my understanding of how an interdisciplinary approach can be applied in psychological research. The classes that I took in CogSci allowed me to qualify for the AMDP in psychology which led me to apply and accept a position in the Gender and Feminist Psychology PhD program.
