  • MAT 131: Descriptive Statistics transfers as STATS 101X Departmental for 4 credits
    • To receive credit for the statistics requirement for MAT 131 you will have to complete an additional statistics tutorial. Go to Psych Department's website for more information.

  Take one Developmental/Psychopathology Breadth Group Course. Complete one of the courses listed below.

  • PSY 200: Lifespan Development transfers as PSYCH 250: Introduction to Developmental Psychology for 3 credits
  • MEH 240: Psychopathology and Behavior I transfers as PSYCH 270: Introduction to Psychopathology for 3 credits

 Take one Social/Personality/Gender Breadth Group Course. Complete one of the courses listed below.

  • PSY 260: Social Psychology transfers as PSYCH 280: Introduction to Social Psychology for 3 credits
  • PSY 250: Psychology of Personality transfers as PSYCH 290: Introduction to Personality Psychology for 3 credits

  • One class from the Biopsychology/Cognitive Breadth Group (4 credits)
  • 2 lab classes (6 credits)
  • Upper level elective credit (16 credits)

Completing General Degree Requirements as a Psychology Major

  • Quantitative Reasoning: MAt 131 transfers as STATS 101X Departmental and fulfills the QR requirement.  You will not have to take an additional QR course outside of the requirements for the major.
  • Courses that transfer with the U-M subject PSYCH cannot be used for Area Distribution for psychology majors. Therefore Wayne County's PSY 101, 200, 202, 220, 225, 230, 235, 250, 260, 265, 285 can't be used to fulfill social science distribution as they are listed on the General Degree Requirement Transfer Guide.
