Transfer Bridges to the University of Michigan is a program for students at Michigan community colleges who want to study for two years at their local community college and then transfer to U-M Ann Arbor’s College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) to complete their bachelor’s degree.
The program varies at each community college, but your participation in the program opens up opportunities to engage with U-M co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities, work with faculty mentors at U-M, and receive advising to help you map your transfer plan. To see if Transfer Bridges is available at your school and what the program entails, check out the links at the bottom of the page.
The Transfer Bridges program is designed to help you prepare for applying to LSA. Participation does not guarantee your admission to the University of Michigan.
The LSA Transfer Team will help you develop your academic plan, choose courses to maximize transfer credit, and set your professional goals.
LSA Transfer Ambassadors are excited to share their experiences and help you navigate the transfer process through goal setting, navigating the application process, and connecting to valuable University of Michigan resources. We will be accepting students for the mentorship program in August. Check back to register.
Participate with a number of engaged learning programs and social experiences from the beginning of your studies including research, community-based learning, socially innovative programs, summer collaborations, internships, and more.
Do you have questions about specific majors, research, graduate school, or just academic planning in general? Transfer Bridges students can meet directly with faculty and staff in academic departments to explore their interests, even before you are admitted to U-M.
The Go Blue Guarantee offers free tuition for Michigan residents with incomes of $65,000 and below and assets below $50,000. Students who qualify for the Go Blue Guarantee are likely to receive additional financial aid to pay for housing, food, books, fees, and miscellaneous expenses.
