Where did you transfer from? Lansing Community College

Why did you choose to transfer to the University of Michigan? The academic environment where I am always surrounded by people who are driven and inspired to do their best. I think there are so many opportunities at this school, whether that is getting involved in research or joining a club. Outside of academics, I love the city of Ann Arbor in general and its copious amounts of restaurants and farmers markets. 

Based on your personal experience, what is the one thing you want to tell new transfer students? Do not be afraid to try new things or experiences -- go out of your comfort zone and find what you can get involved in!

How did you make friends and meet other students on campus? I met my roommate on the transfer student Facebook group and my other friends I met through class, research seminar, and tailgating! 

What is your favorite part about being an LSA transfer student? Discovering all the opportunities that this school offers - it is truly endless. 

What do you know now that you wish you had known before transferring to the University of Michigan? There are so many more transfer students in your classes than you think, even the small classes!

Why did you choose your specific major(s)? I am very passionate about mental health and finding avenues to help others when they need it most.
