Where did you transfer from? Kalamazoo Valley Community College

Why did you choose to transfer to the University of Michigan? UM offered me the most resources to advance my education and career goals. 

Based on your personal experience, what is the one thing you want to tell new transfer students? The one thing I would tell new transfer students is to invest in themselves, invest in their education, and focus on a brighter future.

How did you make friends and meet other students on campus? Attending on campus events and getting involved with the transfer student program really helped me to get acquainted with other students who share similar interests. 

What is your favorite part about being an LSA transfer student? The best thing about being a transfer student is how welcoming everyone at the school is. 

What do you know now that you wished you knew before transferring to the University of Michigan? I wish I knew how large the campus and Ann Arbor area was! I wasn’t ready for the amount of stores, restaurants, and events in the immediate vicinity!

Why did you choose your specific major(s)? Economics was something that I gained an interest in over the years. I was always good with numbers and analyzing different situations or data. It just seemed natural that I would study something that I enjoyed doing.
