In positive characteristics commutative algebra, the Hilbert-Kunz multiplicity and the F-signature play a crucial role in measuring singularities of a ring. In this talk, we will overview the connection between the two invariants and present examples where these invariants rank the singularities in opposite ways. This is a joint work with Austyn Simpson and Suchitra Pande.
