Farina Mir awarded the John F. Richards Book Prize of the AHA in South Asian History
Farina Mir (currently on leave in India) has been awarded the John F. Richards Book Prize of the AHA in South Asian History for her 2010 University of California Press book, The Social Space of Language: Vernacular Culture in British Colonial Punjab. This is an extraordinary honor, not least because this is a newly established prize and Farina’s receipt inaugurates its awarding.
