Summer in South Asia 20th Anniversary Event

This year marks 20 years of the Summer in South Asia Fellowship.

On October 9th, 2026, the Center for South Asian Studies invites all SiSA alumni to gather in Ann Arbor for a celebration and reflection of the past two decades of this program. Years since the summer you spent in India, we are curious to hear how the fellowship has shaped your approach to relationship and community building, professional work, and connection to South Asia.

The SiSA fellowship supports up to 10 undergraduate students per year as they undertake independent, self designed projects in India - either through an internship with an organization of their choice, or by conducting an independent study.
