About
Olivia O'Connell is a senior at the University of Michigan double majoring in Political Science and History with a minor in Modern European Studies. She is passionate about public policy and disability advocacy and hopes to pursue a career rooted in public service.
Olivia is a long-time community member of the BLI and has also been involved in BLI retreats, leadership classes, and community events. This year, she is both an Applied Leadership Fellow and a member of the fast track Leadership Certificate Cohort.
In addition to her engagement with the BLI, Olivia is also a student leader in the Global Scholars Program, the Outreach Director of Students for Harris, a member of College Democrats at UM, a consultant with Michigan Political Consulting, and a candidate for honors with the History Department. She is also honored to have been selected as an At-Large Presidential Fellow with the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress for the 2024-2025 school year.
Olivia loves the joyful community at the BLI where both having fun and learning from one another are always prioritized. She is excited to work alongside her peers and to take advantage of the incredible leadership opportunities that the BLI has to offer.
