Information in this section is approximate. Exact costs and detailed financial aid information will be provided in acceptance letters. There are two costs for attending NELP:
- The NELP program fee--which covers room & board, textbooks, and transportation to, from and during the program--is expected to be $2,500 for NELP 2025.
- Spring half-term U-M tuition rates are set by the University. For NELP's nine credits, the rates in 2025 are:
In-state:
$4,351 for students with under 55 credits
$4,907 for students with at least 55 credits
Out-of-state:
$15,154 for students with under 55 credits
$16,221 for students with at least 55 credits
These dollar amounts are very large. It is important to us that money not be a barrier for a student who is motivated to attend NELP. We work closely with the Office of Financial Aid, LSA Spring/Summer Scholarships, and NELP's own alumni network to provide our students with the support they need to attend our program.
