Join us at this Friday Flash Talk to hear from Stephanie Langin-Hooper (Southern Methodist University) as she discusses her current research on miniature artworks from the Seleucid and Parthian periods (ca. 300 BCE–200 CE) in the Babylonian city of Seleucia-on-the-Tigris. These miniature artworks include figurines, coins, seals and seal impressions, rattles, and jewelry. The talk will particularly focus on how some of these objects were used to bring the presence and protection of the gods to the most personal spaces of daily life.
