Left, Right, and Off the Shelf: The Politics of Book Banning

The urge to remove books from libraries and schools is not new in the United States, but the urge to suppress access to certain kinds of ideas in printed and digital formats is back in force in contemporary America. This event brings together U-M faculty experts and members of the university community for an open and spirited discussion of the politics of book banning across the political spectrum.
