The Copernicus Center for Polish Studies is committed to supporting student engagement with Poland and Polish studies. To foster this, we offer several types of funding opportunities.
- Graduate students in all departments who focus their research on Polish studies are eligible for the Copernicus Graduate Fellowship. Current students apply for the award; incoming students must be nominated by the Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies (CREES).
Deadline: March 1
- Undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, are invited to apply for Copernicus Summer Grants and Amelia Kulesa Konopka Fellowships to support research or internships in Poland.
Deadline: February 15
- Undergraduate students currently enrolled in Polish language courses at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, are invited to apply for Polish Language Studies Scholarships to support continued language study.
Deadline: End of first week of classes in the Winter term
