If traveling for personal and/or leisure, all UM faculty and staff are eligible to purchase U-M Travel Abroad Health Insurance through GeoBlue. This insurance plan is coordinated by the University Health Service Managed Care/Student Insurance Office and UM faculty/staff can get started by registering in the UM Travel Registry.

Enrollment

After you have registered your travel, you will receive a confirmation email with additional information. Follow the instructions under “UM Travel Abroad Insurance Enrollment” to sign in to the GeoBlue website and purchase coverage. Coverage may also be purchased for spouses or OQAs and dependents under age 26 (must be traveling with the UM faculty of staff member). This plan covers individuals up to age 80 and must be purchased prior to departure.
