About
Area of Interest
I am interested in the intersection of medical practice, society, and the military during the First World War. I interrogate the ways that medicine is shaped by military priorities in the context of wartime using shell shock and Venereal disease as case studies. My work centers on studying the treatment of VD in Canadian soldiers within the larger network of the British Imperial Forces.
