UM Statistics students selected as winners of 2020 ASA Biometrics JSM Travel Awards
The Department of Statistics is excited to congratulate Yinqiu He and Weijing Tang, 4th-year Ph.D. students, on being selected as winners of the 2020 American Statistical Association (ASA) Biometrics Section Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM) Travel Award.
Yinqiu received this award in recognition for her paper titled “Asymptotically Independent U-Statistics in High-Dimensional Testing,” co-authored with Gongjun Xu, Chong Wu and Wei Pan. Weijing received this award in recognition for her paper titled “Survival Analysis via Ordinary Differential Equations,” co-authored with Kevin He, Gonjun Xu, and Ji Zhu.
Both Yinqiu and Weijing will present their work at the 2020 ASA JSM. They will also be recognized at the Biometrics Section Reception.
