Starting with Fall 2020, GS-JEDI and the PhD Student Council are presenting Excellence in PhD Teaching Awards to Statistics professors who go above and beyond in their teaching of PhD courses. This recognition is a new initiative created by students to demonstrate their appreciation for high-quality instruction. This award will be granted to a handful of faculty each semester who are anonymously nominated by their Statistics PhD students. Those who receive a significant number of nominations relative to their class size will be presented with this award.
Please join us in congratulating these outstanding teachers for receiving the Fall 2020 Excellence in PhD Teaching Award:
Bob Keener for STATS 621: Probability Theory
Jonathan Terhorst for STATS 701: Statistical Genetics and Computational Biology
Gongjun Xu for STATS 700: Topics in Applied Statistics
