These do not all need to be completed before submitting a PPE application, but the more that are completed by the end of the application term (most commonly Winter term of sophomore year), the better for prospects of admission.
Students must earn a C- or better in all prerequisites unless stated otherwise.
- One 100- or 200-level PHIL course
- Exceptions: PHIL 183 or 296 (logic)
- One introduction to political science
- POLSCI 101, 111, 140 or 160 (AP courses that transfer as one of these count)
- ECON 101 and ECON 102
- One course in calculus
- MATH 115, 116, 121, 156, 176, 185, 186, 215, 285, 295, or 296
- Must earn a C grade or better
