Assistant Professor Search

The Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB) has opened a search for  a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. The faculty position will be tenure track with a university year appointment starting August 26, 2024 or January 1, 2025. Successful candidates will be expected to establish a vigorous, extramurally-funded research program and provide instruction to both undergraduate and graduate students in a diverse, inclusive environment.

We welcome applications from outstanding biological scientists in all areas of cell/molecular biology in prokaryotes and eukaryotes. Experimental approaches may include (but are not limited to) genetics, genomics, structural biology, electrophysiology, systems neurobiology, in vivo imaging, and single cell technologies.

This program, aimed at recruiting faculty with outstanding commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, provides for an optional fellowship period prior to transitioning onto the University tenure track.
