The academic job market is very competitive, but IPCAA’s placement record remains historically excellent. Of graduates who have been finished for 3 years or less, 6 out of 7 or 86% have full-time visiting or tenure-track teaching positions or postdoctoral fellowships. From Fall 2011 to Fall 2019, 7 out of 17 or 42% of our graduates who have been finished for more than 3 years have tenured or tenure track teaching positions in Classical archaeology or art history, or equivalent positions in the museum world.
