- Siliang Song, George Zhang, former EEB postdoc Chuan Xu and colleagues recently published a paper in PLOS Biology suggesting that transcript diversity largely reflects molecular error instead of adaptation.

- Congrats to Gina Baucom for winning one of the 2026 Provost's Teaching Innovation Prizes for her project entitled "Students learning from students: A change that makes exams engaging and possibly even fun". 

- Fiona Corcoran (BS '23) and LIz Tibbetts have a paper in Behavioral Ecology and Sociobiology where they used a novel escape-based multi-access box to examine whether behaviorally diversity and cooperation was related to the ability to escape. 

- Patricia Torres-Pineda, Hernán López-Fernández, and colleagues have a new paper describing a new genus of glass knifefish from the Maroni basin.
