The clock is ticking down quickly to the long anticipated move of the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from its current 103-year-old Natural Science Building to the cutting-edge $260 million Biological Sciences Building.

In addition to EEB, the new building will be home to the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, staff for the Biological Station and the staff and teaching collections for the Museum of Paleontology. The public Museum of Natural History will be reopen in the Biological Sciences Building in 2019.

The faculty, students and postdoctoral fellows have been grouped into five neighborhoods based on their research. The move schedule is:

Biogeochemistry moves the week of April 9 – 13 to the west tower

The administrative staff moves the week of April 23 – 27 to the east tower

Field biology and theory are moving the week of April 30 – May 4 to the west tower

Molecular biology/microbiology moves the week of May 7 – 11 to the west tower

Biodiversity moves the week of May 21 – 25 to the west tower

Facilities, procurement and information technology (IT) staff will be located in the central tower and will begin their move in late March to late April.
