Suanmuanlian Tonsing is a PhD Candidate at the University of Michigan’s School of Information, examining archives, digital studies, and Indigenous studies through the lens of epistemic injustice. He received the 2025 Oliver Wendell Holmes Award from the Society of American Archivists for his contributions to archival justice and Indigenous research sovereignty.
