About
Karee-Anne Rogers is a second-year doctoral student in the Film, Television, and Media department at the University of Michigan studying Black digital meaning-making, the infrastructural logics reinforcing digital platforms, and contemporary technologies’ historical processes. As well, she is attentive to those places where the historically distinct mediums of film, television, and the digital coalesce. To that end, Karee-Anne has a number of research interests including visual culture, surveillance and identity, gender and sexuality, Black digital studies, and Caribbean cultural studies.
