Keena Kump is from Tobaccoville, NC, and is pursuing her Masters in International and Regional Studies (MIRS) with a specialization in Middle Eastern and North African Studies (MENAS) and a Master of Public Policy. On campus, Kenna hopes to get involved with the English Language Institute (ELI). After graduation, Kenna plans on pursuing a Master of Public Health.
Tell us about an influential experience you had in the program:
Middle East and North Africa (or, if you prefer, Southwest Asian and North Africa - SWANA), but I ended up examining the region from various angles, including climate security, human rights, media consumption, and agriculture.
Future plans:
I plan on pursuing a Masters in Public Health. My goals are to fill the gap in research on Arab health and create programs for the betterment of their health.
