Students pursuing the undergraduate Major in Translation or Minor in Translation Studies will need to design and complete their capstone project under COMPLIT 497 (Translation Studies Undergraduate Capstone) to recieve credit for the capstone project requirement.

Your capstone is an opportunity to create a self-designed project focused on your own language work and interests in translation, supported by both the instructor of 497 and your fellow Translation Studies students. Descriptions of the wide variety of previous capstone projects can be found at the bottom of the page.

COMPLIT 497 is offered only in Fall term. We allow registration in the Spring/Summer term only in special circumstances. All students who take COMPLIT 497 must complete a project proposal, progress report, and summary in addition to their project.

Review the Capstone Project Checklist for details.
